It has always had issues with big stuff.
It has had recently a new belt and drive roller also had new pinch rollers in the last year.
It just does not track well on big contour cut files with either a long length or lots of items.

I have an issue when cutting long graphics as a printed contour cut. When it is over 8' long sometimes it mistracks and does not cut where it should. Also the more items on the contour cut file by the time it gets to the last ones it has run off. Help!!! This is driving me nuts and wasting...
I still would say bent pins on the chip reader. Bulk inks have a chip that is wired in that can be raised a little more than the standard cards and this can cause problems. Pull the cartridges out and shine a torch in and closely look at the pins if any of them are slightly different there is...
I reckon the chip reader pins have got bent.
I have replaced these twice in my 1604 and in my opinion a poorly designed part.
When installing a new cartridge if the cartridge doesn't queit insert squarely it can bend the pins.
Also the flexible plate that holds the card readers onto the card...
Oh dear Imron polyurethanes State 7 days cure but in my experience it takes a lot longer and based on how much paint is applied in one go. I have found polyurethanes can still be soft 6 months later!! As for the industrial epoxy this is also manufactured for staying to a degree soft and...
If the material is flooded with colour you will have to let it out gas especially if it is a dark colour as the amount of ink applied makes the material very soft and stretchy. But we have all damaged a panel and had to reprint a part and never thought anything about ringing the customer and...
It is the sub tank valve that will be sticking.
I have replaced these on my 1604 twice now and it still comes up occasionally with this error.
Normally knocking it off and on again clears this, if it doesn't replace the sub tank valves.
On a further note I believe due to the age of these...
How old is the print head?
Heads last between 2 - 5 years all depending on how well the machine is kept and that it is used a lot.
I find that if I have even one blocked nozzle I will not stop until it is clear.
Putting lots of prints through these machines seems to make them last longer. I know...
Soak overnight then post a nozzle test print.
The head can let go at any time but that looks like ink starvation or the pump is not pulling through properly.

Magenta is misfiring.
This is very odd as it looks to me that it is printing the magenta in the right place but adding a further shadow.
Try a different file with similar colours and see if this makes a difference.
This maybe a RIP input issue or a fault in the file.

There is your problem in a nut shell.
That looks like a hell of a lot of nozzles blocked for something to just start printing like this.
That looks like it has been blocked for a long time.
How old is the print head and is the machine used much, as these machines thrive on a lot of use?
I would...
The ink should be able to be pulled through whether the fuse is blown or not.
Is their plenty ink in the machine? I know this sounds unbelievable but that's were I would start!
It might be reading their is plenty ink but the 1204s do not have a sub tank like the bigger machines and need to have...
Just a little note...
Since 3M brought out their 380 & 480 series wrap materials they have downgraded what the IJ180cv3 series can do.
Now stating that IJ180cv3 is "For flat or moderately curved surfaces". This in my books at least means it is, or was never up to the job of complex curves and...
