XY may be faster than a flatbed but how much cutting are you doing? I cut 5-6 rolls per day on the flatbed in under 2hrs

I went with a Colex flatbed and 100% happy, glad I went with that over an XY, way more versatile

Another brand to checkout is Miura II XY cutter, should be about 1/2 price of a new comparable fotoba. Fotoba has some advantages but it's close. I almost purchased a Miura but went with a flatbed instead

Well it's made in Europe but I have 10+ Colorado techs in my city in Texas (they also work on Canon copiers etc). Canon is a huge global company

I signed a service contract after the 1 year warranty ran out and while it is not cheap, one printed roll per month pays for the service contract and I have 0 worries about the printer breaking down.

The Colorado would likely save you enough on ink compared to the HP printers to pay for the printer and service contract. How much do you spend on HP ink per month, Colorado would cut that in half. Plus Colorado is made in the Netherlands so very close to Northern Europe, should have some good...

You literally change the air filters yourself on the Colorado :big laugh:

In my situation I was also letting the employee take the decals home to weed so I'm sure there were lots that didn't come back to my shop. Learn from mistakes

Mine are 100% raster, based on watercolor scans. You can see the paper texture etc. Anything less that 150dpi I can see a difference in the print quality of the fine details. Im sure I could optimize the files to save size but why when the computer can handle it

120" H x 300"+ W at 150dpi is a common size I work with, the files themselves are usually under 3GB but when working on the files with dozens of layers, objects etc and resizing, the ram usage goes up significantly and then drops downs after the operation is performed. Biggest one I've worked on...

I print similar materials, head crashed are very rare, most of the time the lamp hits before the head carriage. I had maybe 1-2 times when the material touches the actual heads, the other times the machine stops as soon as the carriage touches

I'm happy printing wallpaper at 600sq ft per hr, perfect panel length and color consistency. All I see is panel length and color consistency complaints from latex users trying to print wallpaper. Ive had 0 downtime in a year/400k sq/ft of using the Colorado.
