is this a belt drive system or a wire drive? If it is wire drive, it could be that your tension is off. It looks like int he photo it is in the scan direction which is an indicator for that.
To make custom profiles you will need profile creation software and a spectrophotometer such as the iOne from Xrite - www.xrite.com - they have a package deal with the equipment and software for around $1800
we got some cinnamon bun stuff that is great and I really like the apple cider on cold days. We go through k cups in the shop like it was candy. Might be a leftover habit from 20 years in the Navy though....
Great idea and thread! I have updated my profile pic - I am the guy on the right. Been in the business for a little over 8 years and am a Roland tech and a trainer for Imprintables Warehouse on the Versacamm's. My wife and I have a sign and embroidery shop in upstate NY.

Most likely you are experiencing a profile issue if the roland colors are not printing correctly or you forgot to check the convert spot colors box on the file format tab in versaworks.
for static - try turning off the printer completely and then unplugging it for 5 minutes or more to disapate all the charges - then turn it back on and try a print.
I also attached the Roland guide to static for you to review.
