Using after market ink for the last 5 years - have replaced caps, dampers and o-rings. Still is dropping. The very interesting thing that I discovered today - on a 4x10 banner is that it dropped in exactly the same spot 8' from the beginning. So it is dropping after a certain amount of time...
Fuse Holder
That is the point - I do most of the work on the printers -except for the electrical. From what I have read pulling the fuse off is not an easy task. My plan was to have three of the fuse holders soldered on - so if and when a fuse blows they will be easy to replace = thanks Scott -...
I just paid $220 to have a fuse replaced - lasted a day and blew again - most likely need a new printhead - but do want to invest in another fuse. It looks like the vs and xt printers use a fuse holder - I was wondering if I could replace the old fuse with fuse holder from one of the newer...
Blown fuse - new fuse and printhead will not stop firing on test print - any ideas - tried a old printhead and the problem was the same - swap cables and problem stays with the printhead - thanks Scott
This morning started off the day completely missing both lc and lm - my thoughts are fuse of ribbon cable - any ideas would be much appreciated - thanks Scott

My controller fuji pxr-4 does not seem to be controlling the temp. The little like goes off but the temp continues to climb. I have been trying to find info but with no luck. Any help would be much appreciated - thanks
I have read until I am cyan in the face
Just about every post on this forum - Roland's forum and a general google search - I think the solution is in the fact that lo res printing does not produce overspray - I'm just not knowledgeable enough to know why this happens - thanks for the reply
I have a problem that have been kicking my ars for the last couple of months. I had a problem with black overspray in the direction the heads travel. Go to Uni directional and would go off in the direction it was printing. Went to lo res - 360x720 and the problem goes away. Lasted about a month...
Firmware 7.60
I have the Sol-jet 645ex that also uses firmware 7.60. I am currently running 6.50 with pretty good results and would also love to know if the upgrade to 7.60 would have any real benefit. One of my fears is that the upgrade will detect my non Roland print-heads or cause some other...
I pulled my heads from a epson 10600 and put them in my sj645ex - they seem to be working fine, but - there are 6 sets of numbers on the 10600 heads 9 digits long. Does anyone know how to convert to 7 digit Roland head rank number --- thanks much
Had the same exact problem with the same machine. Turned out to be a short in the printhead which was causing the fuse to blow - tech said not all that uncommon of a problem - replaced head and fuses all back to normal -- printheads why $$$$$ - to bad it is not a dx2
I have been fooling around with some of the Chinese suppliers and the best price so far with all of the extra cost is about $620 - Steve your $430 sounds pretty sweet - thanks
If any is interested - the problem was a bad head that shorted out the fuse on the main board - replaced fuses and print head ready to go - thanks for the help Scott
