  5. Ahhh ink may be keeping me from buying

    you will smell the vinyl before you smell the inks...I have a VP-540i in a home office that is 13 x 15 ft. I smell the material heating up before I smell any ink fumes.

    on the cuts, make sure you have a 45 degree blade and a good one, also check the blade holder to make sure there is not slack in it. lastly check the blade depth , it shoule only be out about a 16th of an inch.

    puyll your catridge out, shake it some and check on the side opposite the label there is a rectangular hole at the bottom of that side with a little tab looking thing in there, make sure it is pushed back... ( I am assuming OEM catridges right???)
