you hit the nail on the head. The material is definitely over saturated. 3M just tested it and sent us the results and said there is nothing wrong with the material. Go figure, they sell the material and also run he tests to determine if there is a warranty issue. This is a $160,000 job, of...
I am looking for a translucent vinyl that I can print on and install on the inside of storefront glass, very similar to the interior installed window perf. I want to do our shop storefront windows and have a spotlight on the backside of them at night.
I have no idea what ink set or printers that were used. Have no idea on how long they out-gassed. I will say that the company that produced them is a pretty high volume, reputable printer and they would definitely know about out-gassing long enough.
I realize the easy answer is to primer...
Noticing a lot of 3M failures. We have a fleet of 40 vans that have failed, we did not print any of it, just did installs, but have noticed all of them have failed. I also have a buddy that is in another state and he's having similar problems. The symptoms look like over-saturation of ink to me...
Got it! the tool database folder was indeed read only. I was able to find it from the error message and uncheck the read only box.
I am so grateful for this forum, it has helped me out of sooooooo many jambs.
I understand how to do that part. I am looking for the parameters of the tool I am using, there isn't a DXF file I can use so I need to know what the specs are to input into the new tool profile.
Brand new to this. Just fired up my new CNC Router today and went to surface my first spoil board only to find out that Aspire does not have my 1.5" surfacing bit so I figure I need to load it in as a new tool.
I have no idea where to find the feed rates, stepover, plunge rate, pass depth...
Have the same problem. We found that if you turn up the print interval to .5 it helps give the ink time to dry before it goes on the take up reel. The interval makes the head stop for half a second before it starts back across the media. You can always adjust it a little higher to slow it down...

Sorry for the confusion, I'm talking about in house employees. We have been around for a long time and have always paid our employees by the hour. Some employees reach a plateau and won't really advance past it it since they are going to get their paycheck weather they turn out 1 job a day or...
be ready to invest a lot of time and a lot of money. Training up front is by far the best approach. The 3M and Avery training are very good places to start. As in my case I didn't do the training's because I thought I couldn't afford to. Instead of learning how to do it the right way right up...
Our shop currently pays installers by the hour which I can see doesn't always work for every employee. I am considering switching to a more performance based way to pay such as per Square foot method. Just curious how other shops are doing it.
Also, how do you handle messing up panels or having...
I'm seriously considering it right now too. I have made some really good connections for supplying several sellers and am looking to purchase the equipment. According to this thread I shouldn't get into it? Is there no money in it? I get the subbing out thing but just wondered is it now...
