Swiss Q
You should consider the Impala 2 from Swiss Q or maybe a used Impala 1 if you want to keep costs down.
Brilliant engineering and high precision print with photorealistic quality.
ROI of these Swiss machines is in a class for itself.
Please write me if you have any questions.

Anyone printing on backlit material for lightboxes?
Thinking the ones they use at Mac Donalds, Burger King etc for their menues.
What kind of material do you use? PP, pvc or something else.
Any problems concerning the print and media when it is in the light box?
See link...
Yes, it is a really poor take up. Think a lot of printer suppliers have that problem...
As it is suggested, try and adjust the take up on the knob on the control side near the take-up.
You can also use carbon tape on the heater platen to lower static electricity.

It makes sense to charge extra if running jobs with white ink.
I have worked with the Durst Rho800 Hybrid printer, never had problems with the white heads or the nozzles. Every morning I did a wet wipe and a purge followed up by a nozzletest.
The white ink has another viscusity of course, it...

:signs101:
I have printed a lot on the Vutek 200/600 UV. Also on acrylic. I have had the same problems, and it didn't help raising the lamptemp to high.
What you need is a primer, and then prime the acrylic before you print on it. We use one from Sericol from a spraycan.
Hope you succed.

Hello all!
Anybody have some links where I can read something about the technology behind the piezo princip?
I am thinking heads from a Roland, that is EPSON Heads right? Correct me if I am wrong.

:rock-n-roll:
I work at a digital printshop, and have always learned to convert and work in CMYK. But I have done some testing, and the print results are remarkable better working in rgb- of course because of the wider color gamut working rgb. We only print on 4 or 6 color printers..

SJM: What do you mean with: "Exhausting fumes is just as harmful to the environment"?
Isn't just a matter of time before the energy consumption is down to a normal level?
We have just installed a 25500 at my work.
I haven't heard it should take that long time...
Heard from a salesguy from Epson that it uses a lot of power for the IR heaters. The datasheet says 4.8 kW for the 60inches version. Don't know if that is a lot?
Browner: I am not the one who decides what machenery to buy...
First problem: The media gets so hot that we have problems with the finishing/cutting on our Zünd.
