  1. How to Bypass sensor on Seal 62 base

At 73 I have my fair share of gray hair so know a little bit about risk management. If they would only make these things a little more affordable to repair. $175 an hour is just not going to happen. Looking for new sensors and those I can install myself.
  2. How to Bypass sensor on Seal 62 base

Except my sensors don't work so we cannot do any of the things you are talking about other than the possible jumper.

Go to my post just above yours about the same fan noise. The link has been added for a firmware update that shuts the fan off when the unit is asleep. Dan Berg

  6. s80600 new firmware has not silenced loud fan.

That doesn't even closely match the version I just downloaded. It had a date of June. 2023. Just went to the website and checked. The only firmware available for the s80600 is the SA11B. Are you possibly outside the USA?

  11. Plastic part fell out from underneath my s80600 head carriage.

Yes I ran my solvent covered swab over it and of course the solvent loosened the adhesive enough for it to fall off. I stuck it back on and it has stayed tight for about two weeks but I will either get another one or make one myself.
  12. Plastic part fell out from underneath my s80600 head carriage.

I stuck it back on with the adhesive that is on the edges. Pretty sure I know what happened and it was my fault. When I did the manual clean I may have brushed near that area and the solvent on the swab loosed/ dissolved the adhesive.

Is it a cover for the paper edge sensor, anyone know?
  14. Plastic part fell out from underneath my s80600 head carriage.

I think I see where it may have come from. Can I just order another and put it back in myself. Should I not use this printer until I replace it? Just curious what the purpose is?

Who did you order from, what did a sensor cost. Neither of mine are showing the red dot so it is possible they are both bad?
