I was going to buy a used 26" on ebay just to save where I can, but my cj500 is a 54" I believe it accepts 52" media so you would perfer me to go all out and get a 52" or 26" I've never used one, just read all the sucess stories and willing to give it a try.

I do have flexi 8 should have said that eariler. I'm within my range I have enough left over for inks,media,materials. The only thing i need to figure out is which route Im going to go with the laminator. I would merely use the liquid just to get started. There would be no point for me to wait...

Yes, it has been converted to solvent ink. Its a place to start. I got a 54" cutter/printer in one, cost on parts is less expensive than most. I will update when it arrives and how it works out. I have to find a reasonable carrier over the weekend.

Yes, the printer will be properly prepped for shipment. I am continuing to search for a laminator. Will use the liquid laminate until I find the right machine. Everyone has to start somewhere. Any recommendations on reliable and reasonable shipping companys?
