the plotter probably has some issues with clearing the plot buffer memory,....try turning the plotter off and then back on before each cut,...this is a common issue with the lower priced economy plotters and a plotter reboot before each cut seems to be the only fix,....

the problem here is the client expects more from you than they are willing to pay for,...after lettering awnings for over 25 years at both the in house awning sign shop and as a subcontractor for the awning company,...I look at it like this,.... either they pay for a proper fix and or settle for...

I would suggest defragging the hard drive on the afflicted machine and a memory check for faulty ram sticks

looks to me like you need to adjust the offset and make sure the blade holder is tight inserted properly

I would suggest a thorough inspection of the blade holder to insure it is free of any scraps of vinyl and the blade spins freely, protruding the correct amount to cut the vinyl film,...the problem you describe on a new machine could very well be due to either a dull blade and or non spinning...

if you consider the cost of the metal box to protect and store the brushes I don't think the price is out of line,...

by law if the unit was leagally made available for sale in the us there should be an fcc number displayed on a tag visable to the user on it somewhere,....you can do a search for the number and you can find the manufacturer,,
