I would also look at a ATC spindle and a bigger table. I never heard anyone say I wish I would have gotten a smaller table. You can cut small stuff on a large table but it is a hassle to cut large stuff on a small table

If you have gecko drives they are pretty hardy. Gecko will repair or replace them you just have to get a RMA number from them and send them in. I had 8 repaired and all it cost me was shipping

Mine with the 4g board stopped pretty quik maybe not on a dime but it didn't move more than a 64 th of an inch. I now have the Centroid Acorn controller on it and that stops about the same.

Try Lightburn software It does more then RD or laserworks You can download a trial version to see if you like it

I use Trupan Mdf from Arauco for my spoil board haven't had a problem with it

I have done a few with AZEK pvc that is holding up to or summers and winters. AZEK is made for out door use.
