I will add that my DeWalt LCD heat gun is by far the most consistent gun I've used, and I'd gladly purchase another if it ever dies, but for most applications requiring heat I prefer using a torch, it cuts your heating time in half (or less).
Makita just let out a cordless 36v SDS model I'm thinking of picking up. They call it "true a/c replacement". Claim being able to drill 75 5/8" holes 3" deep on a single set of batteries, and it barely weighs 11lbs. I've always liked Makita tools, I have a set of cordless drill/impact driver...
The steamer won't do anything but move the little gobs of adhesive around... great for removing worn out vinyl, but you'll definitely want to use adhesive remover or alcohol to get it all off.
I'm actually using some Avery wrap vinyl on a project for the first time next week, I've been wanting to see how it performs. I used 3M Matte Black on my truck, and I think it looks nice. I see what you mean now about it looking brown in comparison, though.
I watched the first 2 episodes, and lost interest... might have to revisit.
Didn't hear about Dexter, though... I guess they've had a good run, but it's a great show.
Watch Shameless, too... cracks me up, especially the highly inappropriate parts.
Agree with ProWraps, leaving it alone for a day does the trick. I've weeded lots of small intricate decals on IJ180 and 1080, that's the only way to do it.
