No it's not on the gas tank, I always cut holes in the decal for the tank, plus that would bubble the bottom printed layer, not the lam. I reckon he heat gunned it! No way I can prove it though. Thanks so much for replies, I guess all I can do is leave them to dry for as long as I can afford!

Thanks for all the info guys. This is what im using http://www.thethickstuff.com they clearly state that I can lam and cut the same day. I recommend using a hairdryer to apply decals to my customers, it makes it so much easier and I've never had problems in the 10 years I've been doing this

I totally agree, it's the one thing I hate about this business is that the quality of the finished product is in the hands of my customer, I will certainly be reaplacing it for him and I do belive he's totally honest in this. But I'm so anxious to find out why this happened so I can be sure...

I think you have mis-understood, I was refering to a small, specific part of what is an inital logo design idea. At no point did i say my aim is to create a subtle logo :thumb:

Yeah once the install was complete it had used about a quarter, but that still means that another quarter had been used up in less than 4 days just from printing such a tiny amount which is suprising to say the least! Got it working, convert spot color was not checked! Just checked ink levels, I'm nearly half empty on metallic after having the printer since Wednesday, and only printing x10 1inch square decals with metallic. WTF

Thanks for the reply, I tried to print some metallic straight after printing the color chart (which was fine), and nothing. Nozzle test also fine. Definitely using all metallic settings, no idea

Thanks for the reply, I'm hoping use it enough not to worry. I had no idea a cleaning cartridge could replace it! Is this as straight forward as it sounds? Any side effects or warranty issues? And I assume the metallic can be places back in at any point? I hope it works for VSi
