  1. Brick Wall - Arlon dpf 8000

We quote anywhere between $8-$12 USD / sq ft installed. It really depends on the size of the job, if it’s small the sq ft rate is much higher. Guessing that’s probably high, but our clients aren’t price sensitive on the whole. We try not to compete on price - you always end up killing margin...
  2. Gs6000 printing splotches..

Marks on the media. If not also the above. Do a full maintenance clean. Then check with new media.
  3. Brick Wall - Arlon dpf 8000

I know this is super late and you most likely have done it, but the 8000 is a great film and yeah the adhesive is aggressive AF. Takes everything off on removal, but stays stuck. We use with (with appropriate non-slip lam) as road graphic films for short term road graphics. Not being a cast...

  7. SC 500 - No Media Suction

My old boat anchor (Roland SC-500) has lost media / platen suction. Everything else is functioning normally (well kinda normally as you could expect from a printer thats 15 years old). Has anyone experienced this? Interested in what it could be, as I am going to sell it.
  8. epson gs6000 service manual anyone?

I'm thankful you posted - have been looking for this and above links are all dead :)
  9. Super cheap GS6000 - are they good for a newer user?

Not sure, I'm going to run some unlaminated graphics on my work van as a longevity test, I never take manufacturers excellerated tests as gospel. My house also faces the sun / mouth to hell so I might put something up there to get a worst case. the ink is more durable and feels nicer than...
  10. Long shot... Any Flexi users running an Epson GS6000? Profiles?

Hey all, just wondering if any Flexi 12 (or any version) users are running an Epson GS6000? Would love to know if there are any good profiles going around or if anyone would be willing to help with profiles? Ive got the machine running nicely, but want to ensure I get the best out of it. Any...
  11. Super cheap GS6000 - are they good for a newer user?

Yeah Im leaning that way, had a good email chat with a Caldera rep, and said they are looking to introduce a monthly subscription option as presently I cannot fork out the $2400 USD for a licence, even the yearly option is too much at $1200 / year in one hit I need to focus on buying consumables...
  12. Super cheap GS6000 - are they good for a newer user?

The fact I got the printer with ink in it and a half roll of media loaded, I also got a full set of new ink and a 54inch 50m roll of cheap vinyl included. The deal seemed too good to be true and the guy is a legend, not every day you meet someone thats willing to give someone new to the actual...
  13. Super cheap GS6000 - are they good for a newer user?

Without going in to details on why it has warranty, basically the company I bought it from had three of them to fulfil a large contract, something went wrong with ink / etc and Epson stepped in with a tonne of free ink and extended crazy full service + warranty on them, of which as of now there...
  14. Super cheap GS6000 - are they good for a newer user?

Yeah a few suppliers Ive spoken to have said $235 + GST (10%) per cart if I buy four or more.
  15. Super cheap GS6000 - are they good for a newer user?

Got it in the shop Got the Epson GS6000 in the shop now, Full service with new heads two days before I picked it up, now it's installed and ready to roll except I cant use Colorburst to run it as dongle / key was missing. Excited to get it printing. might run Flexi initially until i decide if I...
  16. Buy Flexi Program or pay monthly?

Agreed if you use only some programs, but the break even on Adobe MC is 10 years Vs. the monthly subscription cost. As long as any subscription service leaves me with the actual native files on my drives, Im happy as you can always re-new a subscription if you d cease using the program.
  17. Buy Flexi Program or pay monthly?

Boom! Exactly why subscription beats perp lic. The best example is Adobe CC. Master Collection used to run about $6,000 AUD. Then they would release updates every 12 - 24 months which would be at least $1,000 AUD. If you bail on a subscription you still have all the files, if you ever need...
  18. Super cheap GS6000 - are they good for a newer user?

Ink costs with higher ink cost are you talking about that a 990ml Epson cart is $290, versus $170 for the Roland 440ml? Unless the Epson uses more ink it seems like it would be more cost effective to a Roland, excluding the new EJ640. i suppose 8 colour vs 6 colour would make it more...
  19. Super cheap GS6000 - are they good for a newer user?

Thanks :) Sounds good, I know the speed and quality will be a major step up from my old old Roland. Thanks for the feedback.
  20. Super cheap GS6000 - are they good for a newer user?

Hi All, I've stumbled across an Epson GS6000 low hours full Epson service history for an insane price, around $2,400 USD. Thing that has me interested is the machine comes with 12 months service and warranty from Epson - heads and all. I've just moved into a small factory, moving from my dusty...
