On my Roland I just attached self-adhesive velcro (fuzzy size only) to a strip of magnet and placed that on the backplate. Keeps the magnet from getting too close and it works quite well. I attached it to magnet so that I could easily remove if needed but have had it there for a couple of years.
Magnets that large tend to create bubbles/ wrinkles in behind, and once the wind catches a corner it we, it's gone. We do magnets that large but only for use on it signs, not io a moving vehicle. Perhaps use one of the newer uptra removable vinyls.
Hi Mark,
Does it get any better when you run a Medium clean? I get that after a couple of days of no use, and it usually takes 3 or so Medium cleanings. If no change, maybe it's clogged.
Best Regards,
Darryn
Just a final note, although I think it's pretty clear from the responses...it looks like heat and most likely some moisture. We have portable signs with black powdercoated metal faces, and we find quite often that the vinyl faced magnet bubbles on larger pieces. Not sure who makes the magnet...
Hi,
I am having an issue when making up vehicle magnets. I would have thought this would've come up on the forums earlier but can't find anything so I apologize if it's already been discussed.
I am printing eco-solvent direct to Magnum digimag 30mil and then overlaminating with orafol 210...
What is your issue with it? I have the same plotter model and they have helped me out previously. It's been maybe a year since I previously had an issue but now I think another circuit board is hooped so hoping they will be able to send me a replacement.
