  2. Signlab 10 eating up 795gb

My Signlab 10 (64bit version) is eating up 795gb of hard drive space. All my sign files are separate and are 40gb. My computer is almost full and I can't figure out why. Anyone seen this before?
  3. VP-540i and Signlab

Technician says I just need a new set of caps and seals, and the head should be okay. It just won't suck the ink through the head because it's not sealing. I should have my parts tomorrow midday. Test prints were fine just a week ago! I'm hoping the print head is okay, technician says there's...
  4. VP-540i and Signlab

Well there's the problem. I'm working away so I need to coach my wife with this. A power clean didn't help much. I don't know what to do with this. It was perfect last month and we've never let it sit at all. The other colours are perfect.....
  5. VP-540i and Signlab

I've had issues before with light blues, trying to print something again 3 days later and it couldn't print the same blue. I never did solve that problem. This time I flat out can't print a proper light blue without it having vertical lines in it. I've tried Signlab direct, and versaworks, the...

  7. Cutting order

Thanks guys. This would be for the spooler. What about for sending to the VPM? That's where it usually becomes an issue.
  8. Cutting order

Does anyone know where the function is where you can reorganize the cutting order? Like when it starts at one corner, jumps to the opposite corner, and travels back and forth so much that it de-tracks the vinyl. I know with some forward thinking you can sometimes arrange your items, but it's not...
  9. Gradient fill color selection

I have the latest version of signlab and am trying to create a gradient fill snowmobile wrap. It's a pretty straightforward job. I want to use Orange Pantone 21C and Yellow Pantone 136C, however when I select these colors for nubs, then aren't true on the screen anymore. I have a couple of...
  10. Need a budge laminator

We are a 20+ year old sign business and recently purchased our first print/cut machine. We've been laminating by hand with pretty good success, except wraps which are a challenge to get all the bubbles out. After having lost out of a few big jobs, we are looking to buy a laminator. We are in a...
  11. Snowmobile wrap templates

Yeah I bought a couple from them and will tighten them up a bit.
  12. Snowmobile wrap templates

Seems everything is secret around here. Which companies and which one is best? I found one selling a template for 300-400$
  13. Snowmobile wrap templates

I’m looking for template files not actual wraps. Does Spiralus sell files???
  14. Snowmobile wrap templates

I know but everyone says they’re crap. I thought I’d offer my money to the membership here first.
  15. Snowmobile wrap templates

Looking for Ski-Doo templates XP, XM, XU, Gen4. Is anyone interested in selling me reliable templates? I'm out on the east coast of Canada not going to compete for business with any of you.
  16. Question looking for advice for a first time digital printer purchase

Here's is the brochure I was referring to, where the machines are set up back to back. I know, I can do all those things by myself, but that's just how ND Graphics quoted the machine. Bit of a joke really. For the shipping I assume that means the shipping from Toronto to Halifax.
  17. Question looking for advice for a first time digital printer purchase

Now $16,000, 8x$115 for ink, $1500 feed roller, $500 freight, Plotter training and installation $1000. Adds up to 20k
  18. Question looking for advice for a first time digital printer purchase

No you’re right, they still show them set that way. I guess if you were really tight for space you might want to do it that way. Ties up the other machine though, and I suppose you would have to have them set up so you could walk around to access either side
  19. Question looking for advice for a first time digital printer purchase

It's almost twice the price, they want 16K CDN for the HP115 bundle this month, plus inks and feed roller another $2500. Regarding the outsourcing, when you're in an isolated community it changes the equation. If you're in a large city with a good working relationship with a reliable shop...
  20. Question looking for advice for a first time digital printer purchase

I agree with everything in your post. I'm in the same position as the original poster, the HP115 might be the most logical choice for me, but I decided on a used Roland 54" eco-sol printer 540i. Not because it's the absolute best choice for me, but because a 15k investment versus a 22k...
