  5. Script font

This one's driving me crazy, I know I've seen it. I thought it was an LHF Font, but doesn't seem to be. Looking for the script. Any ideas?
  6. Corel X8 - Not opening file

Wow, I have to say, I'm just a few days into using X8 and I'm super disappointed in it's lack of stability. Tons of little issues. Now I've created a file that suddenly just crashed on me after a couple hours of work. When I go to open it, I get a gray screen with "view" grayed out in the menu...
  7. Everyone Finally Moved Over ?

I just switched over to a new Windows 10 machine. I thought it was going to be a problem getting used to it, but I really like it. It's a fast and intuitive operating system. I'll keep my Windows 7 machine offline for cutting vinyl.
  8. How to save a file in Corel

I get this response sometimes with print shops too...I think they just really haven't looked at the file. Like Bobby said, If you didn't use any bitmaps in the design, tell the shop DPI isn't even a factor.
  9. Corel X8 not opening older versions

    I'll give that a try...thanks!
  10. Corel X8 not opening older versions

So I finally "upgraded" from X6 to X8 since I moved to a Windows 10 computer. I started working in X8 today, but I'm already experiencing issues opening older version files. The first instance was a file I created in X6 that I needed to edit. When I opened it in X8, one of the bitmaps was...
  11. Coreldraw 2019

This was an OEM install, no disc :(
  12. Coreldraw 2019

I'm finally going to purchase a new Windows 10 machine this week and probably going to upgrade from X6 to X8 unless you guys can talk me out of it. Since X8 seems to be the last stable version, where could one still purchase it? Or should I use the workaround above and stick with X6? It...
  13. Beer Bubbles

The foam may need to be reshaped, but adding some bubbles to the beer portion will make it look more beery.
  14. English to Spanish help please

Please don't put that on your sign. :) Here's a really helpful website if you're looking for the way certain terms are translated. It's a great tool for signmakers/designers since spanish is becoming more and more common. The great thing about it is it has a forum in which users help with real...
  15. Hand Lettering....

Any ideas on what letterstyle this is? It was handlettered, but I'm sure there has to be something close out there.
  16. What tools should be on my bucket list?

Agree! I think I'm going to have to end up learning how to sharpen them.
  17. What tools should be on my bucket list?

I just use a yellow (firmer) and white (softer) wheel that you can get at lowes. The yellow I "charge" with Herb's Yellowstone stropping compound, it think it's a mild abrasive that polishes the steel. Then I follow up with the white for a mirror finish. Again, I'm not an expert and and...
  18. Here's an ugly one....

It was Conthrax, just stretched like crazy. :)
  19. What tools should be on my bucket list?

Pfeil tools are indeed great tools, I use them too. I'm a learner myself, but from the research I've done, sharpening doesn't have to be as complicated as many make it. I keep a buffing wheel on the bench and use it between each letter I carve, that keeps the chisels nice and sharp. I haven't...
  20. Dont skip lunch ever again on an install..

Amen! A combo made in heaven. And when I'm feeling like I need to eat a little healthier, green olives and pineapple is another good mix.
