Eric you are right. the primer is junk. What do you use now to prime the signfoam.

I am using the "new" primer and have noticed that this is not the great product it use to be. The primer doesn't even build up on the face to fill up the holes in the sign foam. Please let me know if you are having the same issue or is it just me.

try the black foam rollers for oilbase paint and use a pms book to find colors that are custom they are easier then using some tintable paint. if all else fails buy a new can of paint
