SignMeUpGraphics I have a GR-540 with the perf cut channel and I cannot find anywhere or anyone that can help with perf cutting on this cutter. I have tried so many different blades/materials/settings and really no luck ever. Rolands Support on the cutter is dog shit. I have a thread going on...
I got your information from Curt at Fellers. Tried leaving you a message- I would have done this myself but there are no solid guides on codes for service menu/replacing the head/dampers. Only two videos on YouTube that I have seen. but neither explain anything well at all. Appreciate the...
This machine has the Perf Cut channel. I feel if I extend the blade to far I am cutting into the very thin outstrip that Roland manufactures for this machine. I have used several different force/cut options and no-one from Roland or any tech that I have talked to has experience with this...
I bought this cutter two or three years ago and have NEVER had any luck with perf cutting. Ive tried so many different materials/blade settings. Does anyone have any advice on getting this machine to perf cut properly? or suggestions? It cuts everything else great, but sucks a fat one when it...
I currently have a VS-540i and am wanting to upgrade to a printer that can do orange for Moto Graphics and perf cut stickers. Any advice to go with this? been looking at a S80600 as well-
Thanks yall-
Anyone have any advice for running these two for MX graphics and Perf Cut Stickers/banners? I was going to buy a VG2 and am happy I have waited(seen a lot of negative on the VG2). But I have Roland equipment already. Looking at the tune of 33k for these and would love to find a refurb machine or...
Hello and thanks for taking the time to read this.
I own a VS540i and am very intuitive when it comes to replacing equipment and parts. I wanted to know if anyone has resources on service codes or any literature on replacing a print head for this machine? I am located in colorado and have been...
Hello and thanks for taking the time to read this-
My name is Zack, I own about a 5 year old Roland VS-540I. I was recently trying to print a job in RGB and I noticed my back got almost airbrush looking. Then it stopped and would come and go(maybe 50%) or less. The black is also mixing with...
I would probably use the metallic slot as it is not manufactured by Roland anymore and I can still get white inks from other companies. However, I do also know that the white is garbage(opacity wise, it comes out transparent as hell) and have seen people using Epson inks through the DX7 head...
Hey y'all!
Been some time since I have posted here. I have a VS-540i, running the latest version of Versaworks.
My issue with the printer is that I cannot output the correct orange. I am just trying to see if anyone has any experience converting one of the (either white or metallic slot) to...
I have tried several casettes and get the same error. switches are fine, everything beeps once in position. I have checked just about all I can. Thank you all for your advice, I will update once the engineer comes here and helps me figure it out.
Gerber FX foils/caddies.
I was noticing they would occasionally not tighten(IE the motors wouldnt move far enough in to move the foil).
Yes, once I unlock the springs the caddies move fine(by hand).
Checked the Clutches and nothing is wrong with them.
How would I go about checking...
Hey guys,
I am new to Signs101. My name is Zack and I recently aquired a gerber Edge FX. It has been a printer I have been wanting for my Motocross Graphics business for some time.
I have tried to do an offline test print with it and it continually gives me a casette error.
I checked the...
