    Update... I revisited the settings and did a calibration, which I've done a dozen or so times before. This time it worked well and as far as I can tell, there are no more off-cuts. Thank you!

    If you haven't already figured it out, it's Sonoco, the manufacturer of the cardboard tube. I'm sure that didn't help answer your question on the vinyl. Good luck!
