yeah I would hang on to XP as long as possible, I switched to Vista awhile back, and I could not get Roland Versaworks to function properly, or flexi sign, if it works for you then use Vista i guess.

on your test print they look like there not clogged just fuzzy, I would call Roland or your distributor and raise hell. ;)

yeah on our Roland sp540v we sometimes have issues printing solid blacks, esp. when rockin' stuff out on high speed, usually in the profiles I make sure W-PASS is on it helps out with banding. You sure you don't have bunch clogged up nozzles on the part of the head that prints black?.

We use a Daige quickmount III, it works fine for mounting small stuffs (car magnets) , not too well for doing big 4x8 signs, the motor kinda struggles under the weight doing 1/2 MDO, we already had to replace the motor and gearbox once. The thing is a work horse I beat that thing up!. We lost...

bulk ink is awesome!, I hated having to change out those little cartridges that only hold a few drops of ink on a weekly basis.

Hey I use that technique as well, much easier to do long horizontal lettering in chapters, then to try to apply the whole thing at once and risk F***ing it all up!.

I get that problem a lot with big heavy 80 lb. 54" x 50+ yard rolls of 15oz. banner material, even if I use the media flanges I would still get the infamous motor feed error. The solution is after you get the roll loaded on there, roll out extra feet of banner until it drapes on to the floor...

This only occurs while in cutting mode, and I see it happen most when I am cutting large quantities of the same stickers like 100-250 but good idea maybe I should upgrade to the latest version. :smile:

On our Roland SP-540V we have encountered this problem when we cut after a print, it will start off fine cutting at normal speed 30/cm per sec then after about one row of cutting lets say small vinyl stickers, it will then pause and then it begins to cut like 1 or 2 stickers every 5-10 mins or...
