Thanks....hey everyone has to start somewhere right...? Its been going well for me, maybe someday I will get to be a big sign business...
Interesting bunch of people here, some great advice! Great forum! Sgia '07 Orlando only a week away! I'm there.
I would be interested in going to any training classes as well...if anyone knows of any please post...
oh, I dont think I gave a formal introduction since I started posting here --I live in FL and I was handed down my plotter, software, materials, etc from a family member(about 8 years ago)...
Do you keep your plotter on all day or do you shut it off in between cutting jobs or if you break for lunch or something like that...my hubby is always getting on me for turning off the plotter in between my cutting jobs--he says I should just leave it on even if I am not going to be using if...
Its great seeing all the fav fonts!! by the way--does anyone know what kind of font this is or something similar to it...the morningstar farms one..here is the link so you can see, thanks, I really like this font.

When applying the lettering to corrugate sign blanks--is it best to spray a bit of water/soap on the sign or apply the vinyl to the sign blank DRY...? Whats the best reccomendation for getting the air bubbles out or NONE at all...?Any suggestions would help, thanks.
Anyone going to the SGIA '07 expo in Orlando? Oct24th-27th.. We will be there the 26th...Can anyone tell me (if you have ever been to one) Can we get thru the entire expo in one day? Or should I plan for 2 days?
Thanks!
Gotcha..
Ok but so far the prices range from 25.00-$90.00 sooo what gives for the huge difference...? I guess its just how much of a profit people want to make while others just cover their cost and then some...?
Well thats why I wanted to post this thread to figure out the going prices of yard signs--this group who wants them is the local Kiwanis Club--now they work on donations only so they dont have $80-$90 to pay for one yard sign (and they want 12) advertising their local craft fair....
Thanks all...
Thanks everyone for your thoughts--
I now have a better idea of yard sign pricing!
I've done a couple "cheap" jobs in the past just trying to get my name out there and also for some "practice"----No more! I'm in this to make money!
I have an order for 12 of the white corrugate yard signs
Size 36" by 24" and stakes
they want this on both sides of the sign..
