I hate dickin' around with registration marks. I always weed off one or 2 of them anyway. I find it easiest to wet app the top layer by eye. I have a better eye than my customers so it works for me.
Lately I've been doing more wet apps. I can do dry apps all day long ('cause I'm a macho, he man sign guy) but I find on damp days I can get into trouble with baggy transfer tape. On days like that I just spray app fluid on and slap down my graphic.
To do a second layer I apply the first layer whichever way seems best and then wet it down with app fluid. Then I apply the top colour. Sometimes I spray the back of the top colour as well.
I find it way quicker to use app fluid on certain jobs....way quicker than cutting a new graphic I screwed up trying to dry app it. Try to avoid wet apps on glass though...that can be a pain.
I use Rapid Tac 'cause it smells devine.
