Figured out it was bad laminate... Glad it was replaced for free!
Dang..How did you get 3M to turn around so fast and replace your lam? Takes weeks to get ahold of someone here. Normally you have to talk to a 3M Rep on material failure after installations not your distributor rep. Glad you got it fixed.
I would imagine if the distributor wants to let the application person determine the cause here, they will opt to let a roll of laminate go as it would eliminate anymore blame coming back to them, since the installer diagnosed his own problem. Seems a very cheap out to me.
I doubt very much if 3M was involved whatsoever in this thus far.
My question would be, with your vast experience in this field, spm..... how/why are you considered a substrate specialist in determining vinyl failure ?? What tests have you conducted to be capable of determining this when a day ago, you hadn't a clue ?? Simply saying something is so, doesn't necessarily make it so, regardless of how authoritative you might sound.
Aren't the solvents heavier than air? So that if you have your prints flat on the table the vapor just sits on top.
