This is a sign in your shop, where did you get the bubbles, did you create them or did you buy them or did you see them and copied them. Same with the type. Same with the layout, you copy styles from past generations of artists, nothing is new on that sign, it is all duplicated from past ideas bought or sold or stolen.
When someone steals my ideas or artwork I really don't give a care, I look at is as a compliment.

I love John,

He is a true artist. Though some people may not agree with his drawings, he is one of the most talented this forum has. And yes, you should see some of his other stuff.. it's quite entertaining.

- First off I have had a working relationship with Eaglesoft for years I even designed a logo or two for them as well as lettered their storefront, so I don't really know where you got that information. I really would hope not to air anything out like that on a public forum regardless.

-Secondly as I stated previously I was approached by Starkey's when I went into the store to buy some things for a pc build I have been working on. The owner stated he needed window lettering and did state that his window was smashed months ago. He asked me if I could keep the similar style to what he had on is card but revise it with some color / effects. I sat down the next day and designed a similar logo with changes and effects in about 15 minutes.

-I called the store today because I do feel bad that this upset you and honestly do try to stay friends with other local shops and not step on anyone's feet.
The owner told me that he had tried to contact you numerous times to re-letter the windows to no avail?

- I am sorry if you never got paid originally for your work (or why you were unable to get together to letter it again) but that really is between you and the client. I am not going to turn down a job though. Like I said if you want to contact me, feel free to do so. 724 813 2206

I hate to explain this situation publicly but It's rough to see someone calling me a thief? I am perfectly capable of designing from scratch, but when you have to match something that previously existed ... what am I to do?

Ursta, You're a stand up guy, let me tell you. Most would flame back, or just ignore the situation. You've done what you can to rectify it. I don't think you've done anything wrong. Just move on man, and keep trucking.

You can go into any public museum, including some in Europe, with their permission of course. And paint an exact copy of any painting, as long as it is not the exact same size. You, my dear, are no Rembrandt, and the guy just copied to a point and not exact to as what you did from the guy's business card. Your beef should be with the person you felt did not compensate you for the "art" you gave to him, not the other sign guy on here you are upset with. But being on the end of your wrath from my drawing, and thank you for putting art after porn, you felt was inappropriate I have surmised that green tea would help you either. Maybe when you mature a little bit we will all have a good laugh about it someday.
