I know you didn't ask but this was another one of those things that got stuck in my head last night so I was lying in bed, ignoring my wife talking about something meaningless, and designing this in my head.

So it became the morning design project. It is what it is for all its glorious faults.

Pat Whatley's logo is too 70's for me. I actually like the way the OP's logo is going, colors symbols etc. Just needs to tweek it more. I am not part of the mob mentality on this one, so won't be taking up the pitchfork on this one.
