it looks like a Cheltenham Ex Bold Cond "G", Bookman style "L" and "E" (minus the center stroke), the curved straight leg of the "R" is throwing me off.
It could also be that the logo predates the use of electronic type and uses a font that did not make the transition from photo typesetting to electronic.
