My customer owns a preschool and they are not allow to use push-pins, they can only use staples. She is wanting large bulletin boards that she can continuously staple, pull off, staple, pull off and on & on. She already has cork board but was hoping for something better. I thought of a self healing mat but she didn't think that would work either. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks for taking the time.

There are magnetic paints available that could be applied to plywood, sheet rock or most any substrate to make it magnet receptive.

There is also magnetic receiver rolls out there now too. Same as the printable stuff just attracts instead if repels.
Be careful with magnets and kids
I agree that the suggestion is a good one however you should be careful to make sure the magnets are not too small. Because big problems can happen if children accidentally ingest them. In 2012 there was a company making a product called BuckyBalls that was basically forced out of business by the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) because of safety concerns for children. You can probably get around the issue by using large magnets that are way too big to swallow. I would think the ones used for holding vinyl in place for vehicle wraps could work.
