are they failing that often? (Print Heads)

HP ink won't dry, like ever, unless it's cured. Luckily it doesn't have the solvent or heavy metal load of solvent inks and HP does have a good recycling program if you're so inclined.

We have an LX850, almost a year running. We don't do a ton of volume, 37,000 sqft so far, 22 of that is polyster fabric and we've gone through one full set of heads.

I have L25500 for one year and change almost one set of heads (one Y-K head still working, and thru the nozzles put more than 16 liters of ink - other replaced heads last between 9 and 14 liters of ink per head). Tech guys from HP said that is normal lifespan for one head is about 10-12 liters of ink!
