Basketball Court Dedication Painting

We have been contracted to do some lettering around the outside of the courts .

This will be a block style name in white on top of maroon.

The existing surface is a very hard, rubberized yet minimally textured surface ..

We were thinking either pounce and paint, or mask and roll, then touch up as needed ..

We were going to go with street line marking paint for the application

Any experience or thoughts from people that specifically done this are most welcome.

Textured surface next to the court? Is it an outdoor court? Just curious. It's been years since I was on a basketball court, but I've never known the courtside to be textured.
Anyway, I think pouncing the pattern and painting from there is your best bet. Maybe a sealant on the paint, depending on expected wear.
