CE 5000 Print + Cut question

We are having an on-going print cut battle -

This is our latest problem:

For some reason, after successfully reading the first (of 4) registration marks, it only advances 13" or so in attempt to read the second mark.

In this case, mark 2 is approx 52" away.

Again, on the rare occasion we can get it to successfully read mark 1, it just does not advance the distance to mark 2.

I have no idea what setting could have been flipped (or turned off) in attempt to reset to factory settings.

misc. data:
Graphtec CE5000-60
Cutting Master 2 through AI
Standard AI 2 registration marks with increased thickness, printed std black
3165 Print with 210 Gloss laminate (with matte snipes covering registration)

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I pulled up file and have a few different settings. Don't know if they make any difference...

First Tab, "Selection Only" is not checked.
Second Tab, same settings.
Third Tab, same settings
Fourth Tab, Under Optimize cutting order: "Restrict Media Movement"

I just create an arbitrary cut file with registration marks to verify that it was not the file.

It consisted of 12" x 30"" box, with registration marks.

It recognized the first registration mark fine (miracle).

Then, only advanced 8-8.5" to look for second mark, instead of the 31+" necessary.

Thanks again for your time Mooch -

Sorry for the confusing simultaneous posts.

I checked/unchecked those settings and sadly had the same results.
