Clear Acrylic ? and source

What is the thickest readily available clear acrylic sheet you know of? I need to find a piece at least 3'X3' but a 4'X8' would be fine at least 3" thick but 6 - 8" would be better.

I have never seen a sheet this thick myself..I have seen 2.5" but there can be NO seams (stacking sheets to obtain the needed thickness will not work)

any ideas?

i have spoken with a distributor that can order it custom but it would be months and it is needed in hand within 7days at the absolute latest.

if anyone can get it let me know. i have a company that needs a trade show display made in less than 2 weeks. they dropped the ball...big time. i've found a couple people willing to take on the project but i know that finding this piece of the puzzle is going to be a job ender.

have you tried www.acrylite-magic.com ? they make Plexiglass and it seems like a place to start. some one makes the really thick stuff for places like Sea World.

i have a contact who manufactures the round aquariums that you see with the jelly fish in them at places like the oregon aquarium, atlanta aquarium, etc. he can't get it for 2 weeks which just doesn't work.

ideally i am hoping someone has a sheet or a drop large enough and i can send them the file and have them machine it as needed and then i am literally going to send someone to pick it up and deliver it to the fabricator of the rest of the display...if i can find one.

keep the ideas coming please. my contact at gemini says they don't have anything sitting around that thick.

My US geography is bad but if Houston is not far from Alabama my friend suggests checking out A&C Plastics.

For something this thick I fear you are looking at having to try and deal direct with Rohm/ Evonic.... no Plexiglas stockists is likely to have a sheet as thick as 8" lying around in stock.

When we need extra thick Plexi it has to be shipped from the main manufacturing centre in Germany... there MUST be a central Plexi manufacturing centre somewhere in the states so talking direct to Rohm will cut out the monkey and talk to the organ grinder in person.

For something as specialised and expensive as 8" thick Plex I'm pretty sure Rohm will allow you to deal direct with them instead of farting about with dealer networks etc.
