last time I checked shop bot's standard 5'x10', table with spindle, XYZ, vacuum & software ticketed $33k

Yes I have seen the new machine...

It is just too much cash for 3 motors and some sharpened angle iron.

The thing is as the machine is running it is actually creating backlash by wearing the angle iron.

I agree that it is pretty amazing though...

You don't really need to spend 100K for a Multicam or any other commercial router if you look hard enough. There are many deals out there to be had in the 25K range for real nice machines. We bought our 5x10, 2 spindle MC that was only 4 years old for well under 25K. We put some money into it for upgraded controller boards etc and even now, after 4 years of continuous service, we don't have any more than 30K into it.
If you have the room buy the big ones, you won't be disappointed.

My .02 for the day,.....just stay away from the carveright crap!
