Hello everyone, well my old Dell win xp computer running Enroute 3 has finally given out
really don't want to pay $125 per month for a subscription - have run this set up for 20 years with no problems
Is there anything else out there comparable without a subscription ?

I'm sure that I'm in a small minority, but i use Cadlink ProfileLab. I use signlab and it works just like that and was easy for me to pick up. It's not cheap, but i think they will give you a free trial.

Aspire is 1 of the most popular and is purchased out right. They have a more basic Cut2D for basic 2D for about $150 and a mid range VCarve 2.5D

get Someone to power it up one more time.
( mount the hard drive in another similar “junker”
run a “p to v” converter and virtualize the install so it runs on the new computer
or just buy a similar older dell for$50.. on eBay and swap the hard drive

Have you still got the installation discs for ER3 ? (were you using Pro, or Basic?)
You can buy a Win 7 PC, second hand, cheaply, and load ER3 onto that.
I've had occasional issues with Win 10, but no worries with running it installed in Win 7.
(From memory the dongle also worked for ER 4.0)
