Colorado 1650 Printhead Cost

How many square metres have you printed on it when the heads went. And who did you buy it from.
I don't know without looking into it. It's a machine we've had for about a year and a half, and we do very seasonal printing on it. I don't want to mention where we got them as we have a good relationship with them, but it sounds like perhaps everything wasn't up to par on the purchasing side with what we were told. But the heads were OKAY with some typical clogged nozzles before a strong cleaning solution was used, mostly out of ignorance of what it would do and not understanding the risks. A hard lesson learned, of course.

Reason I ask. Canon have a 20,000 Lineal meter warranty of the original heads.

I dont think id buy something from your supplier.

We bought ours though Canon, they straight away told us about the service contract. I bought 5 years. its almost up, so we'll either renew it or upgrade.

The actual price for the heads is $5720. It keeps creeping up every few months. If a tech told you there were $1000 then he is drinking on the job. Since Canon makes the heads, I'm amazed you found some on ebay. I'll be interested to hear how that plays out.

I purchased 10 printheads to have 2 extra on the shelf. We had Canon tech out last week to install, and Canon support confirmed they were also genuine after installation. Everything went very well.

The printheads were around ~$900 each on eBay. The seller reached out, and we made a deal to purchase the last 10 they had. I should have enough to last me for a bit, hopefully :)

That's amazing. Nice work! I'm surprised the Canon tech would install them.
