Comparisons of Vehicle Outline Collections

I'm considering ordering an updated vehicle outline package and leaning towards the Pro Vehicle Outlines "Car & Truck 2008" edition. However, I was wondering if there is any other competing auto libraries that are better (more accurate depictions, larger number of vehicle models, etc.).

Corel has been dabbling in the vehicle outline market and included a decent but not great number of outlines in CorelDRAW (usually lacking any defined scale). Summagraphics had been selling a vehicle library years ago, but I'm not sure if they're doing so now. Sign.com is selling vehicle outlines piece-meal at $25 a pop. Is there anything else?

BTW, I'm only looking for vector-based art; I'm not interested at all in any raster-based libraries. Vector-based artwork is far more flexible (and file size efficient).

FWIW, I've used digital camera photos a lot of vehicle graphics designs. While vehicle outlines are often not perfect, the distortion caused by perspective makes photos imperfect as well. Field measurements are often needed in any case. Overall I'm just looking for some opinions on the current software available.

Your options here are very limited.

Most of the templates offered by sign.com are THIS COLLECTION. We have these under a license to publish agreement and decided not to even proceed with it after finding a lot of inconsistencies and inaccuracies.

The Pro Vehicle Outlines were, of course, acquired by MR Clipart and both companies now operate under the new name of Digital Designware. My understanding is that Christian, who was the main guy at Pro Vehicle Outlines, is no longer involved, so whatever has been added since he departed would bear inspection as to whether or not the quality is up to the standard he set for his templates.

The package deal offered for both the PVO and the MR Clipart templates is probably the best option to get the most coverage.

I just got this package from JSI sign systems as they sent me an email a while back with a great deal on this...$149! So, I just bought it last week and was in need of one template prior to getting the DVDs. After a bit of emails, I was given my one template and online access. Although it took a couple of days to get this, I did call and left a message for LUKE, who just called me back today. So, could be that this guy is the new person to talk to.

Since there are the two sets, Mr-Clipart and PVO....any idea which is better or more precise when there are templates for both?

I'm attending a design lab in Oklahoma City all day tomorrow. I'll look for some additional feedback & opinions on the topic of vehicle outlines while there before making a purchasing decision. I'm mainly trying to make a better quality resource isn't being overlooked just from never having heard of it before.

I ordered the Pro Vehicle Outlines "Car & Truck 2008" edition -just the "2D" version.

I was told the company who now distributes the PVO collections is working on making their 3D applet into a Photoshop plug-in (for the extended version of Photoshop). The goal is to have a 3D model that updates a texture wrap across itself as you design the 2D panels you'll send to a printer. Not sure how that will work exactly or how friendly it will be to various kinds of artwork brought into the design space.
