Actually, no, he didn't catch me on that one!!! I learned a lot about YouTube and the songs used while making this video. That song was a legitimate purchase from iTunes. Using iMovie, I accessed my iTunes library to pick the song. YouTube does a copyright violation check PRIOR to allowing a video to post when the song comes from the iTunes library. It's long... but the following is the copyright info that is associated with my video on YouTube....

Upon further investigation, I AM allowed to use purchased music from my iTunes library, but as you've seen if you watched my video, a "mandatory" ad is placed to the right of and actually appears on the bottom of the video. If I remove the music track, the ads disappear.

So... I am actually NOT in violation of any copyrights in this case. I can only assume that royalties are paid either directly or indirectly to the artist or representing company (UMG) from revenue generated through the placement of the random ads shown each time my video is viewed!

Jail is not just for dangerous people.... Crime is crime, and sometimes the penalty for breaking the law is jail. Incarceration is supposed to be punitive to the perpetrator as well as protective to the general public.

Jail time is the penalty for significant crimes... even just money loss or property damage. I know of some folks in Dallas a decade ago that got busted selling Microsoft & Adobe CD's at a flea market. They did jail time and lost a lot of property/money.

At a local outdoor flea market, there was a guy with a big sign "Champion sweatshirts $8.00!!" selling Fruit of the Loom seconds, with a Champion logo printed on them! Brilliant!
