Corel draw to Autocad issue?

I Hope I can get some help with this.

I create control panels for engineering companies using our old EDGE.
One company is able to deliver a .plt saved in AutoCad that works very well within Gerber Omega.
The other company does not know how to send these.
I have no experience with AutoCad. Does anyone have instructions to save .plt files from AutoCad?

seems to give me a smooth curve rather than the angular line segments which look ugly when cut.

"Seems" is the key word here. IT will show as a smooth arc in corel. But it will not be a smooth arc in another CAD program. DFX export is in line segments. That was the standard.

hmm omega has an export option for (GSP)autocad dxf in which you can choose between line segments, minimum curves, and maximum curves for bezier conversion... maybe try adding the extra step of export from corel to eps, import into omega, then export as GSP dxf
