Cost effective outdoor plates for e.g. memorial benches?

What do you use for outdoor "in memory of" type plates? Our local supplier tried to sell me on sublimation on metal. When pressed she said it should last "at least 8 years"

Laser cut or etched steel or brass are my go to. There are many other ways to go but for long lasting, easy cleaning and beautiful look those are my two favorites.

depends on the expected life you want. if it's going on a bench or something similar that's gonna be out there "forever" get a brass plate engraved. if its more temporary, i've done black on clear Edge prints applied to brass plates that have lasted super long.

1. Laser Engraved "Laser Aluminum" or Engraved "Rowmark" Plastic. Stuff lasts a surprisingly long time outside.

2. Printed cast vinyl on aluminum.

3. Etched Stainless steel (Cermark)

4. Bronze/Steel/Brass from Gemini

I 100% don't recommend using "engravers" brass as it will fail and tarnish in no time. "Engravers" brass is lacquered for interior use only.

Anodized 040 aluminum with diamond drag lettering. Relatively cheap and super simple. I've done these in the past when a family couldn't afford a tombstone. I felt bad and sold it under our minimum, but still came out in the black.
