:help: :help: My roland sx-15 cuts light on the ends and normal in the middle. If I adjust the blade down it will cut normal on the ends and too deep in the middle area. Almost like the track is uneven.

It cut fine before I put a new blade in and now it cuts like crap.

Anyone got any ideas?

thanks.

Also what grade of vinyl are you using?
Cheap stuff is notorious for lack of consistancey of thickness.
Techmans advice is good.

I didn't even know I could change the wear strip! I'll try that first thing

I've been using Avery vinyl for weeks now.

Anything else?

if you just changed

if you just changed the blade when this all started i dont believe its your wear strip or your vinyl. I would put the old blade back in and see if you have the same problem. If the problem is gone i would check the new blade to make sure it is the correct blade. If your cutter is older i would also change the wear strip anyway you will get much better cuts this way but i would lean towards a blade problem.

Also check to see if your vinyl is bowing up in the center !!!
Mine does this at times,,, and I've noticed the vinyl bowing !!!
New pinch rollers solved my problem but every once n awhile
it still does it,,, but that's on larger material !!!
