Clear Channel has been advertising on their own radio stations to get public support to keep digital or electronic billboards. I am not clear why Los Angeles now wants to ban them after so many have been put up.
The digital billboards have been used for emergency messages such as the ex police officer that was killing police officers just because.
I am also not sure what quality of life will be diminished in Los Angeles. Anyone who doesn't live there probably wouldn't. The center of the city, downtown area, is a pit. The outlying areas really wouldn't have these billboards except along highways and in commercial and retail zoned areas. It isn't like someone is going to have one on their front lawn.
