Engraving with the zund

I can do everything else with the Zund, but when it comes to engraving on Rowmark, I can't get the Zund to do a smooth engrave without the cutter having to run for over an hour. This is even for small pieces that are only 1"x3".

Any help that you may have would be greatly appreciated

I heard most of these big boy doesn't have high enough RPM on the bit to do good engraving on these types of material. They need 100k rpm or above to do a nice smooth job.

I'm not an end user of this, but was given this information from a supplier who sell Rowmark materials.

Hi Jboogie214,

If you can tell me what type of bit you are currently using i can take a look at this. If you want to shoot me an email that will work too. Just let me know.

depending on the engraving.
Many times a good drag knife engraver will work just fine.,
No need to spin the cutter. Just make a score mark.
