Holy thread resurrection.

I was trained as an electrician.
Started working for myself when my apprenticeship was over and did a lot of electric sign installation work for sign companies.
Neon died off and I developed an interest in other types of signage. After many years here I am.
Why switch professions? Electrical work can be difficult, dirty and dangerous which is fine when you're 25 but not when you're 55.
Anyhow a belated welcome and good luck Wirenut.
BTW as you can probably tell from a lot of the responses here you don't need to be able to spell to be a signmaker.
