flexi and photoshop

These are the Settings I use when I Design Somethin in Photoshop..

size.... the size the project is going to be ex. 18" x 24"
color.... cmyk
dpi......250

Then I save it as a photoshop File.

When I open my Flexi Pro I import the file...

Is this how you guys do it??? Is there a better way, or differnt settings I should use??? Seems to work good for small projects, but when I need to do something Bigger like a banner I have a hard time designing at a larger scale, and Takes a long time to import!!!
Any Ideas??

At least be sure to flatten the layers before importing into Flexi

I have just been opening the psd file in flexi but I am really having issues with larger files ex: 30inch x156 inch by 00 dpi. I know they are large files but, I don't know how to design something in photoshop that has crisp enough lines without being that large.

IMO... flexi ruins every type of file that it did not create.
