FlexiSign Pro 10.5 Closes without save prompt

ok guys its me again, I am having somewhat of an issue here... After closing Flexisign Pro 10.5 I do NOT get a save prompt. I upgraded from Flexisign 8.6 directly to 10.5. Flexisign 8.6 would always prompt you to save after clicking the close button and because I accidentally click it every now and then this is going to be a big problem with 10.5. Does anyone else have this problem? Please help. Thank You

Please help??

Click save before you close from now.. That will fix your problem..

Pretty silly response considering he/she clearly said "and because I accidentally click it every now and then this is going to be a big problem". I have the same problem... I changed the auto save (the only thing I could think of) unless you can figure it out thats about the best resolution. Let me know if you figure it out (I searched for an answer and found this thread).

Pretty silly response

Silly? What other response do you have that is any better?

Learning to save work on a regular basis is a time honored tradition once taught to every software user on the planet. Is this long established way of securing a back up of work going the way of the dodo.

Learning to click save every now and then and especially before a close command is about the only thing one can do to overcome this hindrance in this sign program. That is until they decide to change the close program algorithm.

Quit buggin' me
It's strange but it seems that Flexi will work against you if you give it half a chance.
I'm running 8.6 to drive a printer. More than a few times I've re-run a saved job from the Program Manager(without opening) just to find
that Flexi, all on it's own, re-ganged the copies so they run down the center, one on top of then next - wasting a majority of the film.
Flexi gets the blame for the first few - after that it is on me for not checking.
Like the nukes in the Middle East - Distrust & Verify.
Flexi may be programed to thin the herd so that only the strong survive to pass their hard earned cash on for future upgrades.
Tech's advice is snarky but sound....

Pretty sure I'm running 10.5 and I get save prompts whenever closing a file or Flexi itself.
Maybe try resetting your preferences to factory defualt. Best of Luck.

Naw this aint silly its common sense. You will learn as you design in anything to tap that save button one in a little while before you lose your work. I dont trust anyhting to ask me to save before I close. I would rather save before closing

Sorry guys, I was not clear "I accidentally click it every now and then" I was referring to the close tab (the one that closes the programs). What I am trying to say is, programs such as Flexi have built in features that prevent someone from accidentally losing their work. One of those "safety features" is a dialog that pops up asking if you would like to save in the event you accidentally click the close tab. I am not looking for a way around the problem or a "band aid". I know my last version gave me that option I would assume this one does as well. I know if you don't make any changes to a file it will not ask you to save however that is not the case, it doesn't ask to save regardless. I am also aware that you should save your work (No really I get it) but, its nice having that feature in case of an accident. On an average day we have approximately 40-50 people in our shop having work done so as you can imagine accidents happen (again, that is why they have those features) and not all the designers remember to save each of those 40-50 jobs every 5 minutes or before they move the window in order to multitask (which results in the accidental close).

Just to reiterate, we are humans, we don't save all our work every 5 minutes and we accidentally click the close button while multitasking. Does anyone know of a "setting" (not something I can do to get around the setting) in Flexi that will enable to save prompt? Thank you all for your time

This may be over simplifying the situation but what I do is just use the save short cut key stroke. Ctrl + S. It's, for me, just a natural reflex now. And every couple of minutes. Before I pick up the phone. Before I look away to answer a question. Pinky finger > pointer finger. Habit locked in. I used to use the auto save feature but I turned it off because we often open files and make changes that we don't want saved. Like making slight changes to files for production once proof is approved, rasterizing to a lower res to send out for proofs etc.

It gets worse with Flexi Cloud.
