Hello everyone.
So I need to do a special project that requires me to laser cut a small sign out of 9mm acrylic. The problem is locally I can't get 8, 9 or 10mm acrylic in the color I need.
My first thought was glueing 3x3mm sheets and cutting them in a single pass on our laser (100w). I hoped that doing so would not show that the piece is actually comprised of 3 layers and that the cutting process would somehow melt the side and make it look like it was a single layer. Unfortunately that didn't happen.
Is it possible to actually do this ? Combining multiple layers of acrylic and then laser cutting then without leaving a mark of the layers so it looks like it is a single layer of acrylic ?
Thanks
