It's sick. The part about not leaving any witnesses is hardly the reason.... they did it because they could. They more than likely thought they were being funny and people would feel sorry for them and laugh it off.

However, why if there was a fire on the 19th did anyone leave fish unattended until after the 24th ?? That alone could've killed the fish without the intrusion and then the owners would've been in trouble of animal cruelty.
