cutting shapes accurately??
Im fairly pleased with the machine- its a definite work horse but...
I have a problem cutting shapes accurately (especially prints with thin printed border close to cut edge)- Let me know if anyone has suggestions or experience with the same issue?
Example:
3" x 3" printed Circle Sticker (ij 35c with & without overlam) needs to be cut
say there is a black inset border about an 1/8" inside away from cut edge
when its sent to cut it makes a perfect circle
but not perfectly around the border- its usually off by about 1/16" of an inch.
the annoying part is if you print and plan to cut a few hundred some will be right on and some will be way off.
does this make sense.
I have tried many painful hours testing different combos-
less quantity, differing target marks, differing speeds, cut depths etc. all produce the same results, I even spent time on tech support and they told me thickness can make difference especially with laminates- ive trade many different media (3m, oracal, arlon, avery, etc) with and without lam to get the same results- other than that had no other suggestions to improve this. Ive seen other print/cutters produce flawless results- what are my issues here. please help! (if this has been discussed please show link to discussion!)
