I have a Mutoh Ultima cutter that runs on USB. I have a USB Mouse. The 2 of them do not play well together when the air is drier in the shop. When the cutter unrolls vinyl it creates static and last year it got so bad that I could hear it snapping and popping from the static as it would be cutting. Figured out that when I would hear those static sparks My mouse would freeze up. Sometimes just for a second or two sometimes permanently. Have to then unplug and plug it back in then it was fine until the next time which could be in 10 seconds or 10 minutes.
I helped it greatly by wrapping a bare copper wire around the supply roll shafts on the cutter and grounding it to the cutters frame so that as the shaft turned it was grounded. But this year it's back with a vengeance! Nothing I do seems to make a difference. Checked the machines ground and seems good. Irritating me greatly!!!
Any ideas??
