Has anybody had this problem?

This problem happens only sometimes when I use the shadow effect in CorelDraw X3. I convert the design to a pdf or eps before sending it to Versaworks. It looks fine in the Versaworks preview window but when it actually prints, there's a box around my shadow. The only solution I've come up with is to export to a jpg and then it prints fine. Has this happened to anyone?

Not under those particular circumstances, but the shadows in Corel are a bit peculiar. For instance, they will not print when I send a jpeg or tiff to my desktop printer,,same with outlines. Yet when I send the image to my sp300 thru colorip ,all is well.
You should export to a .tiff file (or .eps), rgb mode. Adobe and Corel together..have issues. If I can avoid it, I will not try to convert one to the other.

When applying a drop shadow using effects, then saving as an eps, the drop shadow is converted to a seperate object, this is where you get the box, its actually the image boundaries of the drop shadow element.
